Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson has joined Call of Duty League franchise Chicago Huntsmen in arguably the biggest trade of the CDL so far.

The trade was announced on May 18 by both Chicago Huntsmen and Prestinni’s former team Florida Mutineers. Prestinni joins his twin brother, Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson, on the squad alongside Seth “Scump” Abner, Matthew “Formal” Piper and Dylan “Envoy” Hannon.

It was made evident that the Huntsmen were in need of a change after their recent downturn in form. Prestinni may be the perfect fit for the Chicago Huntsen roster, especially being reunited with his brother.

Florida Mutineers posted a farewell message on Twitter: “Today we are announcing the transfer of Prestinni to another CDL team. We thank him for his tremendous effort and time with us. His passion for the game and competing will undoubtedly carry him far.”

With Chicago Huntsmen releasing Pierce “Gunless” Hillman from the roster, it seems that Prestinni will take his place on the starting line-up. Substitute player, Jordan “General” Huntsmen, is yet to find his place as a starter despite practising with the squad on numerous occasions.

Co-CEO of NRG, Hector Rodriguez, praised Gunless for his manner during the trade and emphasised the importance of “chemistry” in a “successful organisation”. Gunless is yet to publicly respond to the trade but it is highly likely that he will find himself back on a top roster in no time.

CDL Seattle Surge Home Series

Chicago Huntsmen, as well as seven other CDL teams, will be in action this weekend at CDL Seattle. It is the eighth CDL event of the year and will be played online.

Matches will begin at 9pm GMT on Friday 22 May. The tournament will take the same format as all previous CDL events with the two best teams meeting in the grand final on Sunday.

With winners of CDL Florida, Atlanta FaZe, absent from this weekend’s action, it is time for a new team to prove their worth and take the win.
