GuardiaN to join Dignitas as a stand-in

Dignitas has announced that Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács will stand-in at the FLASHPOINT 1 LAN, beginning 13th March. GuardiaN joins Dignitas after he has come from Natus Vincere on loan. He will replace Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli, who has visa issues.

GuardiaN will join the line-up this weekend as they play in the inaugural games of FLASHPOINT 1. The awper commented: “Thank you for this amazing opportunity! Always wanted to play with these CS legends, finally I can experience it for few games.”

The event was scheduled to be held in Stockholm, Sweden. However, due to concerns of COVID-19, FLASHPOINT chose to relocate the event to a controlled studio in Los Angeles, California. Originally, hallzerk will have had access to play at that tournament due to the EU’s freedom of movement, however, he has yet to acquire a visa for the USA. Although, player visas to the USA take some time to formalise. Team Liquid found this out recently with their visa issues in League of Legends. Hopefully, hallzerk’s visa application began a while ago, so the young Norwegian star can get back to fragging sooner rather than later.

So far, Dignitas’s line-up seems to be in a good position. Dignitas very recently lost to Fnatic 2-1 in the Europe Minor Championship – Rio 2020: Closed Qualifier. Realistically, this is very good for a roster that has not had much live experience together since reforming. They then went on to beat Nordavind 2-1 and earned themselves a spot in the EU Minor Championship in April.

FLASHPOINT has yet to determine how the FLASHPOINT 1 groups will look. Check back later for more information on FLASHPOINT’s first tournament.
