Clayster and Shotzzy join Dallas Call of Duty franchise

Call of Duty World Champion, Clayster, and ex-Halo pro, Shotzzy, have joined the Dallas CoD franchise owned by Team Envy. They are the first two Dallas players to be revealed and more are set to be announced throughout the week.

Clayster’s announcement video was premiered live on YouTube and released on the Dallas Call of Duty Twitter page. Team owner, Mike “Hastr0” Rufail, stated earlier this month that they will be revealing their roster throughout the week starting on October 14th. The team name and logo will be revealed at the end of the week.

After winning the Call of Duty World League Championship earlier this year, Clayster has proven that he is still at the top of his game. Despite being one of the longest performing players in competitive CoD, he is still eager to win more championships.

“I’m hungry to not only cement my own legacy, but to help others build theirs.”

Whilst Clayster is one of the most well-known players in the scene, Shotzzy is a completely new face having previously competed in professional Halo. He is no stranger to success as he picked up five championships and one world championship during his time as a Halo pro. However, he has never competed in Call of Duty meaning he has a lot to prove in his first season under the Dallas franchise.

Some members of the CoD community have already formulated ideas on who the rest of the Dallas roster may be. Former OpTic Gaming player, Ian “Crimsix” Porter, tweeted a picture of an area in Dallas identical to the location of Clayster’s announcement video. He has since deleted the tweet titled “Texas Forever” which led fans to believe that he’ll be joining Clayster and Shotzzy in Dallas.

Since the 2020 Call of Duty League branding was revealed, more teams are expected to make announcements regarding players, team names and logos. Seattle Call of Duty will be making an announcement on October 21st which will most likely reveal their starting roster and branding for the new season. The London Royal Ravens is the only official team name that has been revealed so far. Despite this, some leaks have surfaced that appear to reveal all of the team names for the CDL next year:

All the team names were reportedly found in the code of the newly launched Call of Duty League website. These names are not set in stone, however it is extremely likely that these will be the team names of the 2020 Call of Duty League next year.

The entire Dallas roster and branding details will be revealed by the end of the week. To keep up to date with everything going on in the scene, follow Dart Frog on TwitterInstagram and Facebook for all the latest Call of Duty news and analysis.
